We have made all attempts to make Burning Taper accessible to the visually impaired user. With the exception of the photo gallery, open events page, and forums, and a few other features that have been integrated into the Website, has been slightly modified whether through enlarged text or other alterations to be visible to the impaired user. As technology advances improvements to be made to further enhace accessibility for the visually impaired.
This site has been tested under JAWS, which is a program used to assist visually impaired users in navigating the World Wide Web. This fantastic software program was produced by the Blind and Low Vision Group at Freedom Scientific of St. Petersburg, Florida, USA. This new interface for the visually impaired makes personal computers using Microsoft Windows accessible. The impaired user will access the Web information displayed on the screen via text-to-speech or by means of a braille display and allows for easy navigation of the Web or use of the computer in general.
